missing home and all the friends i almost had

a strange thing happened to me in high school.

i made some great friends but never really had a set. i attribute it to a lot of family obligations and a propensity to be a good kid and get good grades.

what i realize now, is that good grades and the family i was supporting were a shitty trade for a real community and the awesome support system and network of ill people who could be enriching my life.

It's all about choices, and I love where I'm at. I only wish I was tighter with where I been.

Mad love to SD

The war on terror is over!

The oil companies have what they lobbied and lied for.

Well, almost. But FINALLY the end is in sight. Phew, thank God, or Allah or whatever.

P.S. I heart fascism.

P.S.S. Take a look at all these companies websites (clicky the pic-y). They are all about sustainability and alternative energy. It's called greenwashing. Keep an eye out for it.

P.S.S.S. I really need a political blog, huh? Sorry.

So now I'm a wallpaper geek... ? ... !

I have a thing for dope patterns. If it's got rad gradients and spectral qualities - I'm like a moth to the flame... or a deer in the headlights.

Graham and Brown have done a bang up job of just that.

If I was an interior decorator - I would have squarey eyes... No! So much more than that!

I would be ill informed and make mad scrill based on my razor's edge savvy, savvy?

Anyway, here's some favs:

What the Deuce NYC? Teachin' young folks ad-speak?!

It appears that Hell has frozen over and the cow jumped over the moon. Not to leave out monkeys and pigs. Which will unlikely be the nicknames for the freshmen class of "The High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media" in Brooklyn.

Now, I am in love with the idea. In fact, it makes me want to travel in time back to high school even more (those were the days).

But what on earth will the curriculum be?

How to Berate Mediocrity 101,

Web 2.0 Without Stealing Seminar

Convincing People You're Right Workshop...

And the clubs. My goodness, maybe... Hipsters on a Wall, Web Junkies Anonymous, Future Handsome Millionaires, Coolest Haircut/Glasses Combo Club.

I'm excited, scared and I hope my son wants to go there. Moving to NYC would validate all my black clothes - and my disdain for country music.
